Homes have many different kinds of residents -- family -- nuclear or extended, housemates and others.

In addition to the nice, human residents, there may be pets or, unfortunately, pests.

It's the residents and their attitude toward the place that make a residence into a home. When it feels like a comfortable place to go -- safe, protecting and supportive of our everyday life activities (eating, sleeping, playing, etc.) -- then it's a home.

Depending on who's residing in a home, you may have different needs.
