The miracle of the fried chicken

Oil is an important ingredient in many recipes. Oils have different properties, and some are better for use in things that are not cooked, like salad dressing, and others for recipes that should be cooked at high temperatures. Some oils add flavor, while others are more neutral.

Some different oils used in preparing food:

  • olive oil
  • sesame oil
  • corn oil
  • mixed vegetable oil
  • walnut oil
