Cake is similar to bread, but fancier, usually for a special occasion or party. It's often sweeter and lighter than bread and bigger than other pastries.

Normal ingredients for a cake include flour, usually wheat flour, liquid with fats or oils (milk, water, eggs, oil etc.), sweetener, usually sugar, flavoring (vanilla, lemon juice, chocolate, etc.) a sweet covering, sometimes also used in between layers (frosting, icing, jam or fruit).
