An amenity is something that comes with the home -- but not a part you own or rent. It's a part of the situation. It may be resources supplied by the local municipality, neighborhood or natural features.
Some examples of amenities are local libraries, professional sports teams and arenas, symphonies, festivals or fairs, good school systems, shopping centers, public transportation, airports, religious organizations, and other facilities, like parks.
